Madam Chairwoman earned a Honorable Mention ribbon at the 2023 SWAIA Indian Market. Her name was inspired by Adrian’s upbringing in Northeastern Utah on the Uintah and Ouray reservation, amongst his Ute relatives.
Sean and Adrian worked months on this Fully bead purse made with Family Designs. Adrian express how his Ute tribe in Fort Duchesne, Utah has had several woman leaders that held the position of Chairwoman. This is still an uncommon position for woman in other tribes.
Details: This circular purse is constructed on smoked buckskin on side with a beaded floral. On the opposite side is constructed with canvas and pellon and is fully beaded.

The Handle is line with vintage 8 Band American Broadcloth that will never be produced ever again.
The purse is adorn with Ermine Tail furs on brass caps. Ermine Fur was once the fur of European royalty, and is a reflection of the name, Madam Chairwoman.
